Peters demeans himself by sneaking off to US

“Mr Peters should not be so secretive about something that should be a matter of public record. He should release his itinerary and tell New Zealanders about his objectives for the visit.

“Negotiating improvements in our relationship with the most powerful country on Earth is not something to be pursued in the dead of night and in secret.

“This should be a transparent and open process, and one which the National Party would be very happy to support him in.

“But Mr Peters needs to tell everybody, including the public of New Zealand, what he is doing.”
