Climate Announcements A Step In The Right Direction
The raft of pre-budget announcements relating to Climate Change and Global Warming are small steps in the right direction, according to New Zealand First Environment spokesman Doug Woolerton.
“Climate change is a real issue requiring sensible policies and providing funds to research it further is a positive step towards the important goal of protecting our unique environment.
The establishment of a carbon trading scheme is a critical step, but also important is the establishment of some dates for its implementation, and that businesses are informed of how to work in a carbon trading world”, said Mr Woolerton.
