Evidence Published “Disturbing And Sinister”

Disturbing and deeply sinister information revealed in the Dominion Post this morning shows that Police had no choice but to act over the so-called terrorism threats, says New Zealand First law and order spoksperson Ron Mark.

He was commenting on the publication of some secret police evidence outlining threatened activities that included the assassination of a senior politician.

Mr Mark said New Zealanders should be deeply concerned about the information and accept that Police had to act in the interest of public safety.

“Law-abiding citizens will be shocked at the material published and will want reassurance that these threats no longer exist.

“They will also expect those organisations and individuals who are the mouthpieces and apologists for the malcontents to retract their inflammatory statements and accept the police had to move against the threats,” said Mr Mark.
