ACT Parliamentary & Ministerial Expenses

ACT New Zealand has today released the expenses of its five MPs – Hon Rodney Hide, Hon Heather Roy, Sir Roger Douglas, John Boscawen and David Garrett – for the six-month period December 1 2008- May 31 2009.

These figures total Parliamentary and Ministerial expenses.

Please note that Minister of Consumer Affairs Hon Heather Roy travelled to Australia from May 5-10 2009 to participate in the Ministerial Council on Consumer Affairs. The total cost of that trip for the Minister and one staffmember was $5,581.00.

Hon Rodney Hide has not travelled overseas on Ministerial business.

Hon Rodney Hide and Hon Heather Roy are also entitled to the services of VIP transport.

ACT New Zealand is also participating on the Speaker’s Cross-Party Committee to consider matters relating to the extent to which expenses incurred by MPs should be disclosed publicly.
