Phone records prove PM’s recollection is wrong

The Prime Minister should accept there are errors in his recollection of the phone call he received from me on May 6 regarding a complaint against Richard Worth, Labour Leader Phil Goff said today.

“John Key questioned the accuracy of my file note yesterday claiming even my recollection of the timing of the call was inaccurate. My note clearly states the call started around 9.45pm and finished at 9.55pm,” Phil Goff said.

“Mr Key tried to claim that was not possible because he was on a flight until 10pm. Phone records given to me by Parliamentary Services put an end to that argument. They also call the accuracy of the Prime Minister’s recollection of the phone call into doubt.

Phil Goff says his phone log clearly shows the call to John Key was placed at 9.49pm and lasted 8 and half minutes. (See attached phone log)
