Groser NZ rep at Indonesian President’s inauguration
Trade Minister and Associate Foreign Affairs Minister Tim Groser departs today to represent the New Zealand Government at the inauguration ceremony for Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono in Jakarta on 20 October.
Mr Groser joins heads of government and ministerial representatives from other countries including Australia, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Korea, Sri Lanka and Thailand.
Mr Groser will also meet with Indonesian government ministers including Trade Minister Dr Mari Pangestu, Foreign Minister Dr Hassan Wirajuda and Environment Minister Rachmat Witoelar.
“My visit presents an opportunity to discuss with senior Indonesian government ministers key aspects of New Zealand and Indonesia’s trade and economic relationship as well as regional and global issues relating to both trade and climate change,” Mr Groser said.
