Labour saddened at passing of disability educator Todd Fernie
Labour Disability spokesperson Lynne Pillay today acknowledged the passing of disability educator and leader Todd Fernie.
Todd Fernie was the Scholarship Recruitment and Training Adviser for disabled students at AUT University and was considered a leader in the education and disability sectors.
“The example he set in advocating for students with disabilities is one that will be remembered for many years to come. His commitment to encouraging people with disabilities to achieve was an inspiration.
“Last year his dedication to supporting people with disabilities was recognised with a well deserved Attitude Award.
“My thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time. He will be greatly missed,” Lynne Pillay said.
