Dunne calls on UnitedFuture supporters to back Hekia
Parata
UnitedFuture leader Peter Dunne is calling
on the party’s voters in the Mana electorate to back
National’s Hekia Parata in this weekend’s
by-election.
UnitedFuture is not contesting the
by-election, choosing instead to focus on next year’s
General Election. The party attracted 458 electorate votes
in Mana at the last election.
Mr Dunne said Mana deserves
quality representation.
“The electorate has been
extremely well served by Luamanuvao Winnie Laban over the
last decade, and deserves an MP who can both meet her high
standards, and really hit the ground running.
“Hekia
Parata appeals as the candidate best able to fill Winnie
Laban’s shoes, which is why I am recommending UnitedFuture
supporters in Mana consider voting for her this weekend,”
he said.
Mr Dunne said UnitedFuture will contest Mana at
the General Election next year.
