Parliament resumes sitting on February 8 at 2 p.m.

Business will begin with the Prime Minister’s opening statement where John Key will outline the Government’s intentions for the year.

Mr Key has indicated the 20-minute speech will cover plans for the public service and the Government’s economic programme.

There will be a 15 hour debate in replay with the first Question Time held on Wednesday with no legislation debated until the debate is completed.

Mr Key has already announced that Election Day will be November 26 with the Government intending this Parliament to rise for the last time on October 6, and dissolved on October 20.
