National State Of Emergency Extended

When Parliament resumed at 2pm Civil Defence Minister John Carter notified the House that he was extending the state of national emergency following the February earthquake in Christchurch.

The petition of Louise Marion Carroll and 5,857 others, asking the House amend section 26 of the Accident Compensation Act 2001 to bring any degree of hearing loss within the definition of personal injury was presented, as was;

The petition of Doetie Keizer van der Wal asking the House note that 1,026 people have signed a petition requesting that there be no new dairy farms in New Zealand, and that the House support this request.

The draft statement of intent of the Controller and Auditor-General was presented.
