The Education Amendment Bill (No 4) completed its first reading debate and was sent to the Education Committee for consideration by 111 votes to 11 with the Greens, Chris Carter and Hone Harawira opposing.

The first reading debate on the Sentencing (Aggravating Factors) Amendment Bill was interrupted when the House rose at 10am

Parliament will sit under Urgency tomorrow at 9am.
