When Parliament resumed at 2pm Speaker Lockwood Smith said he had bee notified that MP Hone Harawira had resigned his seat on May 11.

The annual reports of Archive NZ and the National Library were tabled, as was Budget 2011, Erratum External Sector, Information Supporting the Estimates of Appropriations for the Government of New Zealand for the year ending 30 June 2012.

Auditor General reports on the Final Audits of Auckland’s dissolved councils and managing leaky home liabilities were presented,
