Who owns Queens Wharf?
The Government and Waterfront Auckland jointly own Queens Wharf.

What hours will Queens Wharf be open?
Queens Wharf will be open every day of RWC 2011. Opening hours for each day are still being finalised and will be announced in the near future.

What is the easiest way to get there?
All forms of transport lead to Queens Wharf with ferries pulling up alongside the wharf and the buses and trains arriving and departing from Britomart right across the road from the wharf. There are also a number of carpark buildings nearby in the CBD.

Will there be special transport services to Queens Wharf during RWC 2011?
Trains, special event buses and ferries will all be operating later on match days, with the last train from Britomart about 1.30am and event buses continuing until 1am. The NiteRider bus operates to Auckland’s suburbs from the central city on Friday and Saturday nights and into the early hours.
Even on days when there are no RWC 2011 matches on in Auckland, trains will be operating later than usual, with services until approximately midnight. On match days, people planning to use trains are advised to get to the Fanzone early, as from mid-afternoon services will be very busy with fans travelling to the game.
Is everything at Queens Wharf free of charge?
Access to the wharf is free every day of RWC 2011 – including the live screenings of all matches and Festival activities including concerts from many of New Zealand’s most iconic acts. There will be a number of food and beverage outlets where people can purchase refreshments.

What happens if it rains?
With the Cloud and Shed 10 both on Queens Wharf, there is plenty of indoor space on the wharf for the screening of live RWC 2011 matches and other activities. Shed 10 will be the heart and soul of the Fanzone with a variety of spaces inside so there will be plenty of choice on Queens Wharf whatever the weather.

What will there be for families?

Will the whole of Queens Wharf be licensed?
No. There will be licensed and unlicensed areas so visitors to the wharf will be able to choose what suits them on any given day.
