When Parliament resumed at 2pm Parliament passed a motion without notice expressing its condolences to the family of the late Sir Paul Reeves and praising his contribution to society.

Select committee reports were presented on the

Southland District Council (Stewart Island/Rakiura Visitor Levy) Empowering Bill (159-2) by the Local Government and Environment Committee;

International treaty examination of the Agreement between the Government of Hong Kong and the Government of New Zealand for the Avoidance of Double Taxation and the Prevention of Fiscal Evasion with Respect to Taxes on Income by the Finance and Expenditure Committee;

International treaty examination of the Protocol of Amendments to the Convention on the International Hydrographic Organization bythe Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade Committee;

Petition 2008/17 of Jan Dixon and 2,141 others by the Commerce Committee;
