When Parliament resumed at 2pm petitions were presented from:

Darryl Monteith and 3220 others asking central and local government to produce a plan for the Gisborne to Napier railway to be maintained and developed and the threat to close the line in 2012 withdrawn an reviewed again in 2020; and

Vivienne Shepherd requesting that the House work with the councils of Northland to keep the Northland to Auckland rail line open and to enhance its commercial viability by building a rail line to the deep water port at Marsden B.

Annual Reports were tabled from the:

Education Review Office;
Maori Trustee;
Defence Ministry;
Environment Court Registrar;
Queen Elizabeth II National Trust;
Parliamentary Service;
Ombudsman;
Parliamentary Service Commission;
Interparliamentary Delegation Report; and
A report on the compulsory school sector

Select committee reports were presented on the:

Complaint regarding the Resource Management (Forms, Fees, and Procedure) Amendment Regulations 2009 (SR 2009/73) (I.16M) by the Regulations Review Committee

Orders in Council made under the Canterbury Earthquake Response and Recovery Act 2010 and the Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Act 2011 (I.16N) by the Regulations Review Committee;
