David Shearer visits UK and US

Labour Leader David Shearer will travel to the United Kingdom this week to meet Opposition Leader Ed Miliband and to spend time meeting with several policy think-tanks.

He will then head to the United States for meetings with the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon and Helen Clark, who has recently been reappointed as Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme.

While in the United States, David Shearer will also meet with H.E. Ambassador Riyad Mansour, Permanent Representative of Palestine to the United Nations, to lobby for New Zealand’s bid to secure a seat on the UN Security Council.
