Call for submissions on the Education Amendment Bill (No 2)

Education Amendment Bill (No 2)


The chairperson of the Education and Science Committee is inviting submissions on this bill. The closing date for submissions is Wednesday, 30 April 2014.

The Education Amendment Bill (No 2) proposes amendments to the Education Act 1989 that create a professional body for the education profession, and that address tertiary education institution governance, quality assurance in tertiary education, and the care and support of international students.

A copy of the bill can be viewed online at www.legislation.govt.nz

Submissions should be forwarded by the due date, either online using our website (www.parliament.nz) or in writing to the address below. If a submitter wishes to appear before the committee, they need to state this clearly and provide a name, daytime phone number and email address. Submissions generally become public and are published on our website.
