Petition nearly cracks 40,000 names
A petition aimed at stopping the testing of legal highs on animals has nearly reached 40,000 signatures, says Labour’s Animal Welfare spokesperson Trevor Mallard.
“Its amazing just strongly people feel about this. The petition was only launched a couple of days ago and the names are rolling in.
“We are still looking at getting another 5,000 plus names and there is still time. Just go to the Labour website and sign up.
“The petition, which will be presented to Parliament in the coming week, will pressure John Key to stop drug dealers testing highs to be sold in New Zealand on animals either here or offshore.”
