UnitedFuture Launches Novel Initiative – the Manifesto

UNITEDFUTURE LAUNCHES NOVEL CAMPAIGN INITIATIVE – THE MANIFESTO

UnitedFuture Leader Hon Peter Dunne released today UnitedFuture’s detailed policy programme for the 2014 Election. Titled The Manifesto, the document is a detailed and comprehensive, 95-page policy programme that sets outs UnitedFuture’s approach to addressing the issues that matter to New Zealand.

“Amidst all the nonsense going on at present, which is of no relevance to the election, UnitedFuture has taken the novel and unusual approach of providing voters with policies that provide our response to the social, economic and, environmental issues that matter to New Zealanders, their families and their communities”, says Mr Dunne.

“I say that providing New Zealanders with the choice of when to take up their superannuation through UnitedFuture’s Flexisuper policy; that ensuring access to our great outdoors, protecting recreational fishing against commercial overfishing are more important than sideshows about dirty politics, leaked emails and ego-driven bloggers and authors.

“It also occurs to me that students, their parents and grandparents are more interested in a policy that makes tertiary education affordable through UnitedFuture’s no-fees tertiary plan, or learning about our Income Sharing policy that allows a family to pay tax as a family are more important to the future of our country than a recent arrival in New Zealand funding a political party to help prevent his extradition.

“So we’ve taken the novel step of providing New Zealanders with a one-stop, comprehensive policy programme that will allow them to make an informed choice when they go to the ballot box on 20 September. Elections after all should be about the contest of policies that move our country forward rather than the drivel that is currently presented to the electorate”, says Mr Dunne.
