Mahesh Bindra Confirmed as MP
New Zealand First list candidate Mahesh Bindra
says he is honoured to be confirmed today as a new MP in the
51st Parliament after the counting of special votes.
“I am looking forward to being part of a strong team and wish to thank all those who supported the party and voted for our common sense policies,” Mr Bindra said.
“With confirmation that New Zealand First has 11 seats in Parliament I will be relinquishing my position as a senior corrections officer, a position I could not comment about previously as I was bound by contractural arrangements.”
