Smith has got to fess up and tell us what is happening to
his much vaunted RMA reform, Labour’s Environment
spokesperson Megan Woods says.
“With just a day and a half to go before the polls open in Northland, he has been talking about who and who will not support RMA reforms, but he refuses to let us see the bill.
“All we have had is his vague and overcooked speech from last month and we still have to see the detail.
“Specifically we want to know to know whether he is planning to weaken the fundamental environmental protections in Sections 6 and 7 of the legislation.
“However it is now clear that the Government has been having last minute secret talks with its coalition partners to see if it can get support for the bill.
“Nick Smith, you have to stop playing games and show us the changes,” says Megan Woods.
