Public submissions are being called for on the New Zealand Business Number Bill. The bill, currently before the Commerce Committee, proposes to enable certain entities (including corporate and public entities or unincorporated entities) to obtain or be allocated a New Zealand Business Number and to be registered to a New Zealand Business Number register.

The closing date for submissions is Thursday, 18 June 2015.

The bill can be viewed online at www.legislation.govt.nz or purchased at any Bennetts Government Bookshop. Wellington residents can contact the bookshop by emailing gbs@bennetts.co.nz.

Submissions should be forwarded by the due date, either online using our website (www.parliament.nz) or in writing to the address below.
