Jono Naylor welcomes more regional flights

Jono Naylor has welcomed the announcement by Jetstar that the airline will expand its domestic network to regional New Zealand.

Jetstar has announced they will fly to at least four regional New Zealand centres and Palmerston North is one city being considered.

“Palmerston North is already a key transport hub and would be a logical city for Jetstar to fly in and out of,” says Naylor.

“This will help develop our transport industry and ensure Palmerston North continues to be considered a transport hub.

“I am always willing to work with companies wanting to come and invest in Palmerston North and welcome Jetstar if they want to come to Palmerston North.

“I will be working alongside officials to make sure that Palmerston North is considered as one of the preferred locations.

“This announcement will see the creation of regional jobs and strengthen transport between regions.

“Regional New Zealand currently has one option for air travel and this announcement will see competition and therefore better value and services for air travellers.

Palmerston North is one city in consideration including Hamilton, Rotorua, New Plymouth, Napier, Nelson and Invercargill.
