Remuneration Authority Appointments
Minister for Workplace Relations and Safety Michael Woodhouse today announced the appointment of Fran Wilde as Chair and Geoffrey Summers as a new member of the Remuneration Authority (the Authority).
The Authority is responsible for setting the rates of pay and allowances for Members of Parliament, the Judiciary and local authority members.
Fran Wilde replaces former Chair John Errington whose term has expired after being on the Authority since September 2009 and Geoff Summers is taking the role left by Diane Morcom who resigned after more than four years as a member of the Authority.
“Fran comes highly qualified for the role as Chair of the Authority with extensive leadership and governance experience in both the public and private sectors.
“Geoffrey also has a vast amount of experience in employment management and will make a valuable contribution to the Authority.
“The Authority is a small but important team and we are fortunate to have such high calibre individuals joining the team. I wish them both well in their new roles.”
