NZ First Not Entering into Joint Policies

The New Zealand First caucus today repeated it is “rowing its own boat’’ and not entering into any talks over coalition partners until the voters have first spoken, says New Zealand First.

“We have never discussed potential coalition governments, or joint policy, in 23 years and we are not going to depart from that,” says New Zealand First Leader and Northland Member of Parliament Rt Hon Winston Peters.

“Discussions with other parties on such things as the conduct of the House, Question Time and other related issues, have always been appropriate.

“From what we have learned Labour and the Greens are working on joint policies but that is their business just as working on our policies is New Zealand First business.

“As in the past any reports or rumour on New Zealand First’s position will only have merit if the source is the New Zealand First leadership and not mere speculation,” says Mr Peters.
