Callaghan Stakeholder Advisory Group appointments
Science and Innovation Minister Steven Joyce today announced the appointments of Stefan Korn and Andrew Hamilton to the Callaghan Innovation Stakeholder Advisory Group.
Callaghan Innovation is the government agency tasked with encouraging more research and development activity by businesses across New Zealand’s science and technology sector.
“These new appointments both bring extremely useful skills and insights to the advisory group and ensure Callaghan remains well connected with its stakeholders,” Mr Joyce says.
The Stakeholder Advisory Group provides advice to the Callaghan board on engaging with a wide range of commercial and academic representatives to access expertise, technologies, and investment with innovation partners.
Stefan Korn has experience in high growth ventures, lean start-ups, online sales and marketing, lean, and bridging the gap between business and technology at all organisational levels. He is currently CEO of Creative HQ, a Wellington business incubator which provides infrastructure and other support needed for the development of start-up companies. He is a Founder and director at Appreciation Engine and a founding investor at Lightning Lab.
Andrew Hamilton is the CEO of the business growth centre ICEHOUSE and Director at High Tech Solutions NZ. He is on the investment committee for the Start-Up Fund, and is the current Chair of the Angel Association. He co-founded ICE Angels, a private network of angels investing in the New Zealand start-up market, and has built this group into the largest and most successful angel group in Australasia, with 36 investments of around $30 million.
