Refugee Quota Constrained By Record Immigration
The government’s announcement of 250 more refugees results from its embarrassment over record levels of immigration into New Zealand, says New Zealand First Leader and Northland MP Rt Hon Winston Peters.
“The question is not whether New Zealand could be doing more for refugees, but whether we can do so whilst under so much pressure from mindless mass immigration policies.
“The fact is, against all advice and adverse symptoms of the foolishness of its policy to date, the Key government refuses to listen.
“Accordingly, its refugee increase in numbers by 250 will end up pleasing no one. But those who are critics hopefully will not be the same apologists for mass immigration to New Zealand up till now,” says Mr Peters.
