Record Immigration Adds Fuel to Fire
Immigration continues to break records, adding more fuel to the fire as the government fails to deal with the housing crisis, says New Zealand First.
“Immigration to New Zealand in the past year is up by eight per cent to 125,000, with a net gain of 69,100,” says New Zealand First Leader and Member of Parliament for Northland Rt Hon Winston Peters.
“Daily, more and more people are agreeing with New Zealand First about the major impact of immigration on housing – the latest comments coming today from ANZ chief executive David Hisco who wants to see an immigration review.
“John Key continues with his misinformation campaign that most migrants are returning New Zealanders when it is clear three out of four, or 75 per cent, are coming not from Australia but the rest of world.”
