Mt Roskill, here’s where to vote
National Party candidate for Mt Roskill Parmjeet Parmar is encouraging voters in the electorate to get out and have their say in the by-election.
Voting opens today and runs until 7pm on Saturday, 3 December.
“No matter where you live in the electorate, whether it’s Mt Eden, Royal Oak, Hillsborough or Lynfield, it’s so important to get out and have your say in the by-election,” Dr Parmar says.
“I’d encourage all busy people to cast an advance vote at your convenience from today. It’s quick and easy, and saves the rush on Election Day.”
“This isn’t about filling a seat in Parliament. It’s about giving you, and your family, an electorate MP who understands local issues and gets things done.
“I’m the best choice this election because I have the skills and experience to better coordinate central government, local government, and agencies to address local concerns.
“Across the electorate, people are clear that they want someone to advocate for improved safety and security; better roads and public transport; more affordable housing; making life easier for local businesses; and education and health reforms.
“Having been involved in this wonderfully diverse area for over 20 years, I understand these issues and am proud to stand on my track record of success in getting things done.”
