Appointments to the Library and Information Commission

Appointments to the Library and Information Advisory Commission and Guardians Kaitiaki of the Alexander Turnbull Library

Internal Affairs Minister Hon Peter Dunne today announced new appointments to the Library and Information Advisory Commission (LIAC) and to the Guardians Kaitiaki of the Alexander Turnbull Library (Guardians Kaitiaki).

“I am pleased to announce that I am appointing Matthew Oliver to LIAC for a
three-year term. His digital expertise will bring to LIAC a strong understanding of current and emerging technology developments within the library and information sector”.

“I have also promoted David Reeves to the role of Chair. His willingness to take on this role is appreciated”.

Mr Dunne thanked the outgoing member and Chair, Sharon Dell, for her service and contributions to LIAC over the last three years.
“I am also pleased to announce that I am appointing Victoria Passau for a three-year term to the Guardians Kaitiaki. I am confident that her skills and expertise will be valuable to the group’s work of advising me on key matters associated with the operation of the Alexander Turnbull Library”.

Mr Dunne also thanked the outgoing member, Helen Walker, for her expertise and great contribution to the Guardians Kaitiaki over the last six years.
