Epsom MP pleased to confirm action on braking noise

Epsom MP pleased to confirm action on Gillies Ave braking noise

Epsom MP David Seymour is pleased to confirm that a noise camera has been installed near the Gillies Avenue off-ramp, targeting the trucks that have disturbed residents with braking noise.

“After conversations with residents near the busy off-ramp, it’s clear that braking noise has a real effect on quality of life,” says Mr Seymour. “That’s why the Minister of Transport Simon Bridges and I today unveiled a noise camera on the off-ramp.

“Credit for this action lies with the residents who raised this issue with me and who assisted me in working with the Minister of Transport and NZTA.

“It’s fantastic to see this work produce a result which in the long term will encourage truck drivers to comply with regulations against braking noise on what is essentially a residential street.”
