Bishop congratulates St Bernard’s and St Pat’s

Chris Bishop, National List MP based in the Hutt Valley is congratulating two Hutt Valley secondary schools on their outstanding success in NCEA results in 2016.

The success of both schools has been celebrated in a poster issued by the Ministry of Education alongside other high performing schools across New Zealand.

“I’m really pleased to see that both St Bernard’s College has been recognised for an increase for the last two years (2014 to 2016) of more than 10 percentage points in NCEA for both “priority” students and all students. St Bernard’s College is also above the national average for both categories.”

“This is the third time in the last five years that St Bernard’s has been recognised for improved NCEA results

“I’d like to congratulate all the staff and students at St Bernard’s College on these outstanding results.

“I’m equally pleased that St Patrick’s College (Silverstream) has also been recognised for an increase for the last two years (2014 to 2016) of more than 10 percentage points in NCEA for “priority” students. Their 2016 results for “priority” students are above the national average.

“I will be proudly displaying this poster in both my Wainui and Hutt Valley offices.
