Labour’s Union Shill Bullies Small Schools
Labour’s union shill bullies small schools
While Jacinda tries to run a ‘relentlessly positive’ campaign, Chris Hipkins is busy threatening four small schools.
“The educators behind these schools have inspiring plans to improve kids’ lives, but in response Labour bullies them on behalf of its union masters,” says ACT Leader David Seymour.
“The unions feel threatened by any innovation in education, and Hipkins enthusiastically shills for their insecurity. We saw the same obedience from Hipkins when he turned feral on ACT’s policy to break union monopolies and pay good teachers more.
“As far as union thugs go, Hipkins lacks grunt, but as Minister of Education he will do the PPTA and NZEI’s bidding. That means protecting mediocrity in education and blocking innovation at every opportunity, the kids be damned.
“Voters have a chance to deliver Chris Hipkins some very bad news. With just one MP, ACT has let educational innovators open 16 new schools. With five MPs, we’ll replace the failing state schools Hipkins protects with Partnership Schools, and we’ll give state school principals the right to reward great teachers.”
