Twyford Reveals Ignorance About School in Own Electorate

"Te Atatu MP Phil Twyford this morning revealed that he knows little about education in his own electorate, and little about his Government's policy on Partnership Schools," says ACT Leader David Seymour

"Twyford said, in reference to Middle School West Auckland, that Partnership Schools would be fine so long as they were able 'employed trained and qualified teachers' and 'taught the curriculum'

"Middle School West Auckland is a Partnerhsip School in the centre of the Te Atatu electorate that Twyford claims to have visited. It teaches the New Zealadn Curriculum, all of its teachers are registered with the Education Council.

"It is time that Twyford got his basic facts about what is happening at schools in his own electorate. Perhaps then he will be able to stand up for his electorate within the Labour Party.
