Minister of State Services Chris Hipkins has today asked
the State Services Commissioner Peter Hughes to examine
IRD’s reported inappropriate use of a public survey.
“I was concerned to read in the media that a survey by
IRD included political questions,” Chris Hipkins said.
“I suspect it was an error of judgement, but I
have asked Mr Hughes to follow up with IRD.
“The
political neutrality of the public service is paramount and
I want to ensure that the message is reinforced,” Chris
Hipkins said.
