Govt releases reports on Pay Periods 11 & 12

Minister Responsible for Novopay Steven Joyce today released the reports on complaints and notifications in regards to Pay Periods 11 and 12 of the schools’ payroll.

Pay Period 11, which was paid on the morning of 21 August, paid 89,320 people a total of $175.03 million.

The report shows that complaints and notifications were received regarding 0.21 per cent of staff across the country, 24 staff were notified as not paid, 77 were overpaid, and 83 underpaid. Affected staff were from 151 schools or 6.16 per cent of schools in the payroll system.

Pay Period 12, which was paid on the morning of 4 September, paid 90,344 people a total of $176.82 million.

Complaints and notifications, in regards to that pay period, were received regarding 0.12 per cent of staff across the country, 15 staff were notified as not paid, 57 were overpaid, and 54 underpaid. Affected staff were from 109 schools or 4.44 per cent of schools in the payroll system.

“The payroll system is continuing to demonstrate stability pay period to pay period with 12 out of the last 13 pay rounds being within the 0.5 per cent steady state error level identified by the Technical Review team,” Mr Joyce says.
