Health and Safety Reform Bill


The chairperson of the Transport and Industrial Relations Committee is inviting submissions on this bill. The closing date for submissions is 11 April 2014.

This is an omnibus bill that proposes reform of New Zealand’s workplace health and safety system. The bill seeks to replace the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992 and the Machinery Act 1950.

A copy of the bill can be viewed online at www.legislation.govt.nz

Submissions should be forwarded by the due date, either online using our website (www.parliament.nz) or in writing to the address below. If a submitter wishes to appear before the committee, they need to state this clearly and provide a name, daytime phone number and email address. Submissions generally become public and are published on our website.
