Barrister Jane Taylor to Chair NZ Post Board


Finance Minister Bill English and State Owned Enterprises Minister Todd McClay have announced the appointment of Jane Taylor to the Board of NZ Post commencing today.

She will become chair of NZ Post when present chairman Sir Michael Cullen retires on 31 October 2016.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Sir Michael who has provided excellent stewardship of the Board, and made a significant contribution to the restructuring and success of NZ Post over the past six years,” Mr English says.

Mr McClay says: “Ms Taylor is a highly experienced commercial Crown director and chair who will bring to the Board experience of the Crown environment, relevant industry experience and a collaborative leadership style.”
MsTaylor is a Queenstown-based barrister and professional director whose career spans finance, law and forestry science.

She is currently Chair of Landcare Research NZ Ltd, Deputy Chair of Radio New Zealand, a director of Silver Fern Farms Ltd, Hirepool Group Ltd and OTPP NZ Forest Investments Ltd, and was formerly a director of Heartland NZ Ltd, GNS Science, Scion, REANNZ and on the Legal Services Agency Board.
