HON MARIE HASLER ASSOCIATE MINISTER FOR
ACC VISIT TO THE ACC BUSINESS SERVICE CENTRE SEABRIDGE
HOUSE, 110 FEATHERSTON STREET, WELLINGTON 4.00PM TUESDAY,
27 JULY 1999
The ACC Business Service Centre was
established by ACC to ensure direct communication with
people wanting more information about the legislative
changes that came into effect on 1 July this year.
Since
the state of the art call centre was established on 17 May
staff have received nearly 220,000 calls - at one time calls
peaked at a massive 3,000 a day.
The business centre has a
very high rate of call retention and staff are required to
have in-depth knowledge so they can give quick and
understandable answers to at times complicated
questions.
The Minister will take the opportunity to see
how the call centre operates, meet some of the 49 staff and
share a pizza with them during their tea break.
