Press Release: New Zealand First Party

New Zealand First Health Spokesperson, Jenny Bloxham MP, has
asked the Minister of Health, and the Alliance and ACT
Health Spokespeople to explain their decision to lower the
drinking age.
“These MPs have capitulated to the Booze
Barons against all medical evidence, including a late plea
from the New Zealand Medical Association to keep the
drinking age at 20.
“Members who voted for legislation
which will be detrimental to the health of young New
Zealanders have proven they are not fit to be spokespeople
for health.
“The stance of Wyatt Creech, Phillida Bunkle
and Ken Shirley is contradictory.
“They need to
re-examine their positions when the next stage of the Bill
is considered in Parliament,” said Jenny Bloxham
MP.

Given the layers of meta-irony involved, the saga of the Sony cyber attack seemed at the outset more like a snarky European art film than a popcorn entry at the multiplex.
Yet now with (a) President Barack Obama weighing in on the side of artistic freedom and calling for the US to make a ‘proportionate response’quickly followed by (b) North Korea’s entire Internet service going down, and with both these events being followed by (c) Sony deciding to backtrack and release The Interview film that had made it a target for the dastardly North Koreans in the first place, then ay caramba…the whole world will now be watching how this affair pans out.
