ACT Agrees With Employers On Holidays Act
Wednesday, 27 October 1999, 4:00 pm
Press Release: ACT New Zealand
|
ACT Finance Spokesman Rodney Hide today said ACT agreed
with the country's employers that the Holidays Act is
outdated, inflexible and must be changed as an urgent
priority.
"ACT is disappointed that National hasn't got
on with changing the Act since sacking New Zealand
First.
"Simpson Grierson's major employer survey on the
Holiday's Act released today showing overwhelmingly that
employers want the outdated Act changed also shows just how
out of touch Labour and the Alliance with what's needed to
cut the red tape that's stopping our businesses from
growing and employing more staff," said Rodney Hide.

Gordon Campbell: On the Sony cyber attack
Given the layers of meta-irony involved, the saga of the Sony cyber attack seemed at the outset more like a snarky European art film than a popcorn entry at the multiplex.
