Bunkle Poll Claims are Bogus

Bunkle Poll Claims are Bogus

“Has anyone received the poll?”

For Immediate Release

Monday, November 01, 1999

“Has anyone received Bunkle’s Poll?” asked National MP, Annabel Young today. “Phillida Bunkle promised that she would send a letter to every Wellington Central voter asking them whether she should stand. Constituency candidates have to have their nominations in by Tuesday 2 November so she has left her poll a bit late. I live in Wellington Central but haven’t received her letter. Who has?”

“It is time to Phillida Bunkle to admit that Jim Anderton is pulling the strings, not the voters of Wellington.”

“Bunkle has decried the National Party decision to run a list-only campaign in Wellington Central but the Alliance are going to do the same thing. The difference is that the National has been up-front and honest. We say a Party List vote for any party other than the National Party will deliver a Labour government.”
