Hypocrisy Personified.

I read with astonishment and horror that ALCP have joined the clammer to restrict the tobacco smoker to the outdoors. In other words they have joined the very health nazis they fight for the decriminalization of their own weed.

Go to any pro-marijuana site on the internet and they are full of articles and rants about the use of junk science and biased media reporting justifying keeping their choice of recreational drug illegal.

"Well what a bunch woolly-woofter, butt crawling, low-life activists they turned out to be," stormed Joy Faulkner," do they think by siding with heath control freaks they could gain some ground with their freedom of choice.

Does it not occur to them that the same junk science and media bias is being used to turn the tobacco smoker into a criminal along side them.

This from a press release from ALCP :'Policy analysts voiced support for the Minister of Health's move to extend the ban on tobacco smoking to enclosed public spaces such as restaurants, bars and caf's. "The bottom line is that non-smokers should not have to passively smoke, and that smokers should respect that right", said Blair Anderson and Kevin O'Connell.'

"Well Blair and Kevin, the bottom line is that it is nobody's business what restaurant and bar owners allow in their restaurants and bars, except for those owners. If you don't like a smoky bar then vote with your feet. Furthermore, I have no respect at all for science that has been struck down, declared void, or revealed as politically correct junk-science. Or for the opinion of a group supposedly fighting the same battle that so cravenly sucks up to the enemy," stormed an angry Faulkner.

Media bias did not allow mainstream readers to see the decision made by Judge Osteen of the USA who vacated the EPA evidence on secondhand smoke and by doing so ruled it no longer existed, could not be used in evidence, must be disregarded. Struck it down. Quote:' A U.S. federal court has ruled that the Environmental Protection Agency wrongly declared secondhand tobacco smoke a dangerous carcinogen.' unquote: so why do ALCP go along with the anti-smoking zealots still using it.

ALCP are very quick to believe the passive smoking myth when Health corresepondent Victoria Macdonalds well hidden article "Passive Smoking DOES'NT Cause Cancer" tried to tell the world exactly that. That the World Health Organization had commisioned a 10 year scientific research study that cost them millions and that when the reseach came up with an answer they didn't like they hid it. Ask yourself why they would do that. Could it be because it didn't suit their agenda?

Then there is an article from Associated press entitled " Antismokers Caught While Deleting Unfavourable Evidence In Passive Smoking Studies" In which Sydney Health professor Simon Chapman is quoted from a letter to colleagues: "Journalists looking at that table (or being directed to by the industry) will be hard pressed to write anything other than 'Official': passive smoking cleared--no lung cancer...Much of your report recommends tightening restrictions on passive smoking... surely your calculations being so low, these recommendations are way over the top?" The article notes that by the time the draft report came out, the table Chapman had been referring too had been deleted!

"Where the hell are the mainstream bloody biased, anti-smoking media when articles like this surface, huffs Faulkner. They brand the Tobacco Industry liars, they vilify the smoker to scumbag status; yet anything that debunks or refutes the outpourings of the anti-smoking zealots is ignored, swept under the carpet. They - it appears - don't fit with the programme!

It appears that marijuana has now addled the minds of ALCP, or perhaps they have just lost the plot on who is telling the biggest lies and fudging the scientific research data.

The media and the so-called activists now sucking on nanny state's tit should ask who is lying now. The embattled scumbag tobacco smoker is in the position we found ourselves in because our supplier was accused of lying. Who is watching the watchers. Journalists will happily nail industry to the cross if they lie, while lobby groups and their well funded scientists and hangers on can lie their pants off simply because they believe it is for our own good.

Well up theirs and up the ALCP's as well.
