that joblessness rose under the Employment Contracts Act,
says Employers' Federation chief executive Anne
Knowles.
Commenting on a claim by Labour Minister Margaret
Wilson (ECA: Nine years of instability, media release 15
May) that joblessness rose by 26% from December 1990 to
December 1999, Ms Knowles said official figures from
Statistics New Zealand showed joblessness in fact fell by
15% over that period.
