ACT’s putative leader emerged today from a three day “retreat” to hail a brave new direction to shore up their slithering poll ratings: “Backwards - to oblivion!” notes Libertarianz leader Peter Cresswell. "Their "vision" is blurred, their "strategy" is non-existent, and their "positive alternative" is neither."

“ACT’s strategy is best demonstrated by the three private members bills ACT MPs have before parliament ,“ says ACT’s own current leader, referring to Franks’ bill to tighten up parole law; Shirley’s bill, allowing foreign doctors to practice here; and Jennings’ limp-wristed RMA amendments bill, supporting the nationalisation of farmers’ land! These, claims Prebble, are "ACT brand issues"!

“Can he really be serious?” wonders Cresswell.” Even by their own limp lights this is feeble. His claim that ACT “owns” these issues would be laughable, if not so desperate. Instead of hailing a positive new direction, Prebble should instead be apologising for such mop-headed pap.”

“ACT’s appalling poll ratings have clearly taught them nothing. As the country dives into the third world; as freedom is snuffed out; as Helengrad-sponsored apartheid runs rampant - these opposition time servers offer up only bland, limp-wristed tinkering. As the chains on the productive tighten by the day, where is the demand for these chains to be shattered? Where is the call - not to tinker with the Resource Management Act - but to shred it, to drive a stake through its heart? Where is the cry to uphold individual liberty, personal responsibility, and property rights – these precious protections that are being daily trampled on?”

“Where, in short, are ACT’s balls?” wonders Cresswell. “I suggest that those ACT supporters not already convinced of their party’s inept lack of courage should now examine their own cojones, and join the only party that has them in spades – Libertarianz!”
