"A Hamilton teenager dies from inhaling the contents of a fly spray can, so the coroner recommends bigger warning labels on the cans! This is outrageous - Gordon Matenga should be removed from office forthwith," said Libertarianz spokesman Richard McGrath.

"Surely the question that needs asking is not how big the warning labels were, but just where this girl's guardians were while she was sniffing the fly spray," McGrath added. "It is they, and not fly spray manufacturers, that should be brought to account for her death."

"Why weren't they supervising this girl properly? Why did no-one notice the empty fly spray cans under her bed? And why has it become fashionable to blame inanimate objects when parental negligence lies at the root of this tragedy?"

Given the layers of meta-irony involved, the saga of the Sony cyber attack seemed at the outset more like a snarky European art film than a popcorn entry at the multiplex.

Yet now with (a) President Barack Obama weighing in on the side of artistic freedom and calling for the US to make a ‘proportionate response’quickly followed by (b) North Korea’s entire Internet service going down, and with both these events being followed by (c) Sony deciding to backtrack and release The Interview film that had made it a target for the dastardly North Koreans in the first place, then ay caramba…the whole world will now be watching how this affair pans out.
