Anti-Sow Crate Activists Arrested |
||

Four of the activists, involved in today’s protest against the Sow Crate held at a Cambridge Pig farm, have been arrested by police and charged with unlawful entry.
The arrestees include two activists who “locked down”(inserted their arms into a pipe and locked their hands together inside) to a Sow Crate at approximately 12 o’clock today. The activists have locked themselves into the sow crate in an attempt to expose the cruelty and the inhumane treatment of pigs that goes hand and hand with intensive farming methods such as these, also to highlight the Government’s present review of the Code of Welfare for Pigs and urge the public to write submissions opposing the use of the sow stall.
