Anzac Day Flypasts
The Air Force will support commemorations during Anzac day (Sunday April 25, 2004) with a number of dawn flypasts around New Zealand.
Weather permitting an Air Force Orion will conduct flypasts in Auckland and Northland, the first over the Auckland Domain Cenotaph at 6.29 am.
From there, the aircraft from No. 5 Squadron, Whenuapai will make it’s way to the Parakai Cenotaph (6.35am), Warkworth RSA (6.41am), Wellsford RSA (6.45am) and Whangarei RSA (6.56am).
Two Iroquois helicopters from No. 3 Squadron, Ohakea will fly in formation over Bulls (6.10am), Fielding (6.20am) and Marton (6.30am)
A King Air B200 from No. 42 Squadron, Ohakea will
conduct flypasts over Masterton (6:07am), Martinborough
(6:14am) Lake Ferry (6:20am), Kaikoura (6:50am), Winchester
(9:00am), Timaru (10:20am), Oamaru (10:35am), Ashburton
(11:05am), Temuka (11:15am), and Rangiora (12:00
midday).
