Mayor hopeful supports strike.
Sam
Kingi said "I have been following the struggle waged by NUPE
for some time and I am disgusted that Richmond Fellowship
treats its workers so badly."
"These workers do demanding
and potentially dangerous work and are paid as low as $11.00
an hour. They have no shift allowances, no overtime rates,
just low pay" said Sam Kingi.
"I wish the workers at
Richmond Fellowship engaged in this struggle well and hope
the strike gets you closer to a fairer deal."
