Anarchy Aotearoa Labour Weekend Conference

Anarchy Aotearoa is proud to announce the upcoming @ conference to be held on labour weekend, Christchurch, New Zealand. Billed for those ''Sick of green reformist politics'' the organizers have given the assurance that it will not be another one of the ''bullshit talkfests''.

The program includes practical topics such as workplace organization, running an infoshop as well as tips and discussion on general organization, strategy and creating a movement as well as much much more. Free accommodation is available and the cost is cheap, only $20 for waged participants and $15 unwaged.

Venue: WEA, 59 Gloucester St, Christchurch (easy walk from central city).
Accommodation: Plenty of free accommodation available, see below.
Food: Lunch and dinner available on the Saturday, lunch available on the Sunday.
Childcare: Available, but please advise us ahead of time.
Entertainment: Sorted. Saturday night party at the Media Club, gold coin koha.
Cost: $15 unwaged, $20 waged (let us know if this is going to be an issue and we can sort something out).

Given the layers of meta-irony involved, the saga of the Sony cyber attack seemed at the outset more like a snarky European art film than a popcorn entry at the multiplex.

Yet now with (a) President Barack Obama weighing in on the side of artistic freedom and calling for the US to make a ‘proportionate response’quickly followed by (b) North Korea’s entire Internet service going down, and with both these events being followed by (c) Sony deciding to backtrack and release The Interview film that had made it a target for the dastardly North Koreans in the first place, then ay caramba…the whole world will now be watching how this affair pans out.
